These procedural materials has been created in addition to my focus on hard-surface assets and props, I have had the opportunity to explore various materials using Adobe Substance 3D Designer to create environments, ground tiles, and floors. The experience of creating such assets in Designer has been enjoyable as it has required a different approach than creating unique textures in Substance 3D Painter. The process of analyzing a photo reference, breaking down a pattern, and recreating it using nodes has been both challenging and rewarding. This process has enhanced my understanding of patterns and will undoubtedly assist me in creating unique 3D assets in the future.
